Eid al-Fitr 2024: Moon Sighting Committee to Announce Eid Al Fitr Prayer Time 2024  in UAE

After the conclusion of a month-long fasting period, UAE residents are gearing up to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. 


To mark the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid, the Moon Sighting Committee in the UAE will convene on Monday evening to sight the moon. If the moon is sighted, Eid will be celebrated on April 9. Otherwise, it will be celebrated on April 10.


Similar to all matters in Islam, celebrations begin with special prayers. Officials have announced prayer times in various emirates based on the Hijri calendar calculations. Residents in the UAE can stay updated with news and details about prayer times by joining WhatsApp groups.


Dubai

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced that prayers will be held at 6:18 am.


Sharjah

The Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah announced that prayers will be held at 6:17 am in mosques and prayer halls.


Abu Dhabi

In Abu Dhabi, public prayers will be held after the commencement of Eid, which is expected to be two or four minutes after 6:22 am in the city and at 6:15 am in Al Ain.


Ajman and Umm Al Quwain

Generally, the timing in these emirates is similar to Sharjah, with prayers expected to be held at 6:17 am.


Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah

Prayer times in these emirates are expected to be two minutes later than Sharjah, with prayers expected to be held at 6:15 am.


Eid al-Fitr is a significant celebration in Islam, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan with joyous festivities and prayers.
